Meet Caitlin...
Caitlin Saunders is a screenwriter and storyteller working in Los Angeles. She is the founder of Around the Fire Story Consulting.
Daughter of acclaimed writer and MFA professor, George Saunders, Caitlin has been a student of writing and storytelling since childhood.
Her upbringing often exposed her to uniquely disparate realities, and these experiences made her a keen and curious observer of the world and its unexpected intersections.
She earned her BFA in Photography from NYU Tisch before transitioning to writing and has
a uniquely visual and literary style.
Screenwriting
With a strength for world building and complex characters, Caitlin’s work often utilizes genre to explore grounded stories that prioritize humanity and heart. Foregrounding it all is her belief in the power of stories.
She has credits on shows such as VALOR, FOUNDATION, and RAISED BY WOLVES, and has developed with Spectrum Charter.
Most recently, she served as a Co-Producer on an in-development adaptation of a popular video game for Netflix Animation. She was a Story Consultant for Azuki’s upcoming IP Universe.
Her first feature is out to directors with Imagine Entertainment.
Photography
Caitlin’s love of photography has taken her around the globe, giving her a lens through which to appreciate different cultures. Driven by a sense of adventure and an insatiable curiosity, she has the ability to capture the feeling of a place, and a moment, with a deft eye. Her portfolio features work from her time in South Dakota, India, Nepal, Italy, Portugal, Mexico, Greece, Belize, Turkey, and more.
